Rachlé Art – Daniel and Lucas Rachlé
The twins Daniel and Lucas Rachlé were born in 1989 in Klagenfurt.
Since early childhood, creative painting and design had a high priority in their lives. They were encouraged by their family, to whom also belong a sculptor and a restorer.
As a result of the previous years of artistic engagement “Rachlé Art” was founded in 2009. In addition to classic canvas paintings, the focus is on the pictorial design and redesign of objects and textiles.
In 2010 the first exhibition took place in the Gewölbegalerie in Klagenfurt. In the same year the Rachlé brothers gave a new look to the bunker tower on Kreuzbergl.
In 2013 there were further exhibitions, in the Artlane and in the Gewölbegalerie in Klagenfurt. As part of the “Long Night of Museums” in 2015, the Rachlé brothers exhibited in the Artlane, followed by another exhibition in 2016.
In 2018 there were two exhibitions in the Rachlé-Art studio, and in 2019 an exhibition in the Urban Lab in Klagenfurt was realized.
In 2020 the brothers presented their art in Le Passage, Klagenfurt, and at Desiderio No.1, in the 1st district in Vienna.
The art of Rachlé-Art is fantastic and amorphous despite the intense coloring and follows the urge to capture the fantastic, whereby nothing is left to chance.
Daniel and Lucas Rachlé use acrylic, oil and pigment colors to express their spontaneous artistic purpose.
The spectrum of genres ranges from street art, graffiti and comic drawings to surrealistic painting, which is inspired by fantasy creatures, animals and naked female figures. The inspiration of the Rachlé brothers is both international (e.g. Nepal) and interstellar (Mars, Saturn).
With the delightful intention of combining the old with the new, also high-quality antique furniture and its fabric covers are being hand-painted. The design language of antiquarian furniture from the past centuries enters a symbiotic relationship with modern art. This provides insight to us into the deliberate and yet spontaneous process of how the viewer is led step by step towards the artist's intention.
